Well then. He still doesn't know what's going on with this world, but if it brought the talismans here, to him... he might not dislike it quite so much as he did before.

And so, if you see a guy this weekend levitating around town, occasionally shooting fire out of his hands and/or laser beams out of his eyes, and looking giddier than anyone here has ever seen him... Well. That's probably V. Feel free to talk to him/try to keep him from blowing up something of yours. He's in a good mood. He might listen. ]

Unless he specifically scattered them, either out of amusement or out of the need to prevent anyone from gathering all of them. Or someone else did, perhaps. There are a few people in my world who knew about demons before they started showing up in the middle of Tokyo.

Oh, he didn't do so himself. He was quite clear on that point. Apparently they were scattered so he would no longer have access to his powers - and having seen him with full access to his powers, I can hardly blame the person who did it. [ Says the guy who now has full access to the very same powers, without a trace of irony. ]

Tokyo, you say? We summoned a demon in Tokyo once. Lovely city. Would have been better with at least two fewer demons in it.

It was recently overrun by them where I'm from. At least part of it.

[ He winces. ] My sympathies. It was bad enough with merely two demons at once; I can't imagine what it would be like to be overrun by them. What sort of demons are you dealing with, then?

All sorts, from every clan of demon. It was a fight for the title of King - who wouldn't want to come?

Demon clans? Well, I suppose that's not surprising, given that the ones I knew were a sort of familial unit. [ He shudders. ] I wouldn't like the idea of any of them becoming King, though. You wouldn't know if there were any elemental demons there, would you? Perhaps a fire demon, nasty temper, proclivity for possessing innocent bystanders?

Oh, there were elemental demons, but that one doesn't sound familiar. What are they called?

This particular one was called Shendu. I'm quite glad he didn't see fit to trouble you, though. [ And unusually, he means it. He wouldn't wish that demon on anyone else. ] He certainly caused me enough trouble for several people, after all.

Shendu... hm. Chinese? It doesn't sound familiar.

[Which is... odd. But perhaps they're not from the same world.

Ah, well. I'm somewhat accustomed to demonic trouble. I've been around Loki for some time.

Chinese, yes. And I would suggest you stay away from Chinese demons if you can avoid it. [ He's learned his lesson. ]

My sympathies. No amount of demonic trouble is a pleasant one... Loki? This wouldn't be the Loki of Norse myth, would it? I was under the impression he was a god, not a demon. [ He's honestly curious. ]

Some of them are all right, if you know how to deal with it.

He was. But when Yehowah, the one that most people call simply 'God', defeated the King of Demons, he cast down the old gods as demons.

Well. You must be from a different world than I, then. I certainly can't imagine the demons I know ever having been gods of any kind.

[ He's just... not going to touch on the fact that if they are from the same world, then God apparently, incontrovertibly exists. Maybe he should have spent more time in church after all. ]

I do. And... well, not all of them were. No one but an utter lunatic beyond what religion generally is would claim that something like Jack Frost would be a god.
