02 $$ [action for anywhere] (fourth wall!)
[ He's dreaming. He has to be.
But even once Valmont's done rubbing his eyes in disbelief, they're still there. All twelve talismans, lined up nice and neat on his nightstand.
Well then. He still doesn't know what's going on with this world, but if it brought the talismans here, to him... he might not dislike it quite so much as he did before.
And so, if you see a guy this weekend levitating around town, occasionally shooting fire out of his hands and/or laser beams out of his eyes, and looking giddier than anyone here has ever seen him... Well. That's probably V. Feel free to talk to him/try to keep him from blowing up something of yours. He's in a good mood. He might listen. ]

[ He acknowledges the tea, but doesn't pour a cup yet; better to let it steep a bit longer. He does, however, help himself to the croissant. Destruction is hungry work. ]
This is quite decent, you know. You made it?
[Action]
Yes, I did. You won't find a better croissant in this world.
[His expression shifts into a mischievous expression as he motions with his forefinger in a circular motion to the sheep talisman.]
I would say that astral projection is very useful. More so than those other two that are destructive, even. The possibility of being able to go somewhere you physically aren't: it is the wish of spies everywhere. Are there limits to these talismans' abilities?
[Action]
You make a good point. I suppose I tend to think of these things in terms of their combat capabilities. Sneaking around has never really been my style. [ Still, he's eyeing the talisman reflectively. France has put the thing in a new light for him. ]
I haven't found much in the way of limits, though I've had limited time to test them. I do know that this one [ he indicates the sheep talisman again ] won't let you take over anyone's body if they happen to be in it at the time. Thank god. [ Possession: nope nope nope.
Deciding that it's probably been long enough, he pours himself a cup of tea, adding scrupulously measured amounts of milk and sugar. One has to do these things properly, after all. ]
